Актуальные вопросы тюркологических исследований

573 Actual Problems of Turkic Studies Museum, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Museum für Völkerkunde, Musée Guimet etc. [3]. Today his archive is stored at the State Museum of the History of Religion in St. Petersburg. During the research a small folder with unusual contents was discovered by the museum staff. It turned out that this folder con- tained newspaper clipping with various inscriptions. Most of the clippings have the date and the issue number marked with a pencil by hand, presumably, per- sonally by V. Alexeev. The marks are mainly in Russian. All fragments contain the Uighur language printed in the modified Arabic script with Chinese text on reverse. The newspaper was most likely to be published in two languages. Some of the documents include the inscription “tercume” at the bottom. In this case the original text is probably in Chinese. The presumable title is also written by Alexeev on each clipping in pencil in the Uighur language; the inscription reads “Ili Xingjiang”. It may also be the name of the geographical origin of the newspaper. Due to the lack of material on this topic it seems to be impossible to claim whether “Ili Xingjiang” is the title of the newspaper or the name of the region. The folder also included a sheet of paper with the list of document inside. According to this list the materials could be divided into following categories: 1. the organization of schools, programs and their internal regulations. 2. The organization of educational programs and different courses. 3. Material sup- port of schools, teachers and students. 4. The organization of schools and cour- ses for women. 5. The organization of physical education. 6. The organization of theaters, cinemas and libraries. 7. The materials on the problems of public education. Most of the documents in the folder could be added to the first and fourth categories. Pic. 2 is an example of the clippings found on the folder. Pic. 1.
