Consequently, it explains why there can be found so many features of Hinduism in Thai Ramayana including mentioning many mighty Hindu gods (Śiva, Vi ṣṇ u and Brahma) in this story. Thanks to the fact that King Rama I’s version of Ramayana is utterly complete, this liter- ary piece is the main object of research, which is aimed to analyze the role of the mighty gods to understand the influence of their roles in this story. 2. Research Objectives This main objective of this research is to analyze the role of mighty gods in King Rama I’s Ramayana. 3. Hypothesis The role of mighty gods who appear in King Rama I’s Ramayana ef- fects to the climax points of the story. 4. Research Scope This research is aimed to specifically analyze the role of the mighty gods, appearing in King Rama I’s Ramayana, who have the power to rule over both right and false sides (as Śiva, Vi ṣṇ u and Brahma) that ef- fects to the climax points of the story. 5. Result of the Research The research “The Role of The Mighty Gods in King Rama I’s Ra- mayana” shows that the role of Śiva, Vi ṣṇ u and Brahma, who had the power and ruled over other gods, had many effecting roles in this story. 5.1. The Role of Śiva as the mighty god in King Rama I’s Ramayana In Hinduism, Śiva was the destroyer, the creator after the destruc- tion and the kind god. And his roles which were shown in this story are as follows:
