Международная научная конференция, посвященная 65-й годовщине начала изучения языков ЮВА в нашей стране О китайских переселенцах в Юго-Восточной Азии в первой трети XIX века 289 the Indo-Chinese archipelago” by the unofficial representative of the Russian government in the Philippine Islands, Peter V. Dobel, published in 1833. Long-term stay in Canton, Manila, stories and descriptions of travelers allowed P. V. Dobel to show in his work the variety of natural resources of the “Indo-Chinese Islands” and the development of Chinese trade in the region. The development of trade was facilitated by the fact that a large number of Chinese from the Southeastern provinces settled both on the Malaysian Archipelago and in Indochina.
