(St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, a.kharitonova@spbu.ru ) THE HISTORICAL STATES OF THE EASTERN INDOCHINA IN THE WOODCUT “ILLUSTRATED TRIBUTARIES OF THE QING EMPIRE”  1 Annotation: The illustrated woodcut album “Huang Qing zhi gong tu” contains historical and ethnographic information about 265 countries and regions of the world. The talk discusses material on three historical states of eastern Indochina: “Annam” (Annan 安 南 ), “Lan Xang” (Nanzhang 南掌 ) and “Cambodia” (Dongpuzhai, 东埔寨 ). Information about the states and peoples can be divided into 3 topics: geographical description, political history (including the history of relations with China) and ethnographic information. Keywords: Qing Empire, Indochina, tributaries, “Huang Qing zhi gong tu”. The woodcut album “Huang Qing zhi gong tu” (“Illustrated Tributaries of the Qing Empire”, XVIII century) contains 598 annotated illustrations depicting the population of 265 countries and regions of the world.
