This shows strong determination of the two sides, especially the US, in realizing the strategic partnership with ASEAN (November 2015). Third , the content of the Sunnylands Declaration focuses on practical and urgent issues that meet the expectations ofASEAN countries in the increasingly complex security context in SoutheastAsia, especially from China's strong, systematic but potentially many threats influence across East Asia and the Pacific through major projects such as: The One Belt One Road Initiative, BRI, 2013); Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), “One axis two wings” strategy… Fourth , through the commitments made in the Sunnylands Declaration, the United States wants to send a strong message to competitors, especially China about America's pioneering role in the region, affirms America's determination to protect their multifaceted interests in Southeast Asia, while pledges their strong supports to ASEAN against security threats here. Fifth , the impressively/ strongly effect of the Sunnylands Declaration. After the US reached a joint declaration with ASEAN during the 2016 Special Summit, other importantASEAN partners also quickly adopted similar statements to affirm their position in Southeast Asia order and their developing relationship with ASEAN. Among them, notably is the joint Declaration Russia-ASEAN in Sochi (Russia, May 20, 2016) on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of their Dialogue Partnership, the India-ASEAN Joint Statement in New Delhi (India, January 25, 2018) on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Dialogue Partnership... Although these documents have many contents, more specifically mentioned, they are still considered to be less important than the Sunnylands Declaration because they were issued later, were inherited and supposed to be reaction of these powers to America's pioneering action. This is clearly not because of the content of each statement, but also because of the symbolic meaning and the different level of impact of each document in the specific situation
