355 Actual Problems of Turkic Studies man we decided for a rhymed version, respecting the original version and philo- sophical message of Magtumguly. We hereby should like to represent examples of our translation or recreation of his poem “Salar Galmazlar” Los Shahs no se que- darán No seas triste, pobre hombre, Los khanes y shahs no se quedarán,Las ciu- dades y palacios magníficos se hundirán, Y sus estancias lujosas desaparecerán. Si la elocuencia de las palabras permaneciera, El alma, el diamante, el cuerpo la clave sería, El ruiseñor con sus mil melodías moriría, Ni las altas montañas que- darán. Una cosa importante he notado, Siete partes del mundo arruinadas que- darán, La tierra en suelo curvado se convertirá, Las montañas se fundirán y no se quedarán. Si un mandamiento divino existe, Ninguna escapatoria para nosotros persiste, El cielo, el sol y la luna desaparecerán, Y tampoco las estrellas se que- darán. Ni estados, ni países van a durar, Ni Turcos, ni Kurdos se van a quedar, Ni pájaros ni lobos nos van a acompañar, Ningún animal alado se quedará. Ni polvo, ni circulación alguna habrá, Ni valientes, ni buenos permanecerán, Elefantes, in- sectos y rinocerontes morirán, Los animales salvajes no se quedarán. Eine Sache hab’ ich verstanden Sieben Kontinente werden versanden. Die Schönheit der Erde geht abhanden. Berge zerschmelzen und werden nicht bleiben. Wenn je ein Gebot Gottes besteht, Uns weder Ausweg noch Hilfe ergeht. Sonne undMond, sogar der Himmel vergeht. Die leuchtenden Sterne werden nicht bleiben. Weder Staaten noch Länder werden bleiben, Weder Türken noch Kurden können es vermeiden. Weder Vögel noch Wölfe werden verbleiben. Geflügelte Tiere werden nicht bleiben. Sogar Staub und Bewegung werden verschwinden. Nicht einmal Mutige können Gebote überwinden. Elefan- ten, Insekten und Nashörner entschwinden. Die wilden Tiere werden nicht ble- iben.Magtymguly, die Flüsse von uralter Zeit Sind Zeugen der Vergangenheit, Sie waren einst unser treues Geleit. Diese Flüsse werden nicht bleiben. After regard- ing the theory of poetical translation we are now considering our practical expe- rience of translating the poems of Magtymguly. Taking into account that our knowledge of the Turkmen language is poor we should like to thank all Turkmen collegues, which helped us in understanding the original poems of Magtytmguly. My special aknowlegdment is for my collegue and son Alejandro Muñoz Kohrs who unfortunenatly died by a tragic accident in March of this year 2015.
