St Petersburg University to hold an international examination in Turkish for the first time in Russia

St Petersburg University is the only university in Russia to be permitted to hold the international Turkish Proficiency Exam. This right was granted to the University by an agreement with Istanbul University.

Such testing makes it possible to determine the level of proficiency in Turkish as a foreign language and is recognised by the leading test associations in Europe. The examination results confirm the language proficiency in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Passing this examination is required for admission to Turkish universities. This test will therefore be useful to students, applicants and anyone who learns Turkish as a foreign language. At St Petersburg University, this language is learned by over 70 people.

They will be required to confirm their language proficiency for further study of the language and culture, as well as for working abroad. University graduates are issued a diploma of education, yet it is often insufficient for foreign companies, and it is an international certificate that can become the key reason for the employer.
