11 The 6 th International Symposium on Oriental Ancient Documents Studies Arakawa Shintaro On the Formation of the Tangut Version Jingangjingzuan 金剛經纂 from the Chinese Version The huge volumes of the Chinese Buddhist texts were translated into Tangut in the Xi-Xia dynasty. The unique apocryphal sutra, named Jingangjingzuan 金剛經纂 was composed in China and became popular in Central Asia. In this presentation, we introduce the Tangut version of the sutra and argue on the translation process from the Chinese.
