The St Petersburg University Language Testing Centre was established on 22 August 1997, with the aim of organising and conducting the state test of Russian as a foreign language (TORFL). The events organised by the centre in Tanzania will greatly contribute to the quality of Russian language education in the country and strengthen the connections of the University with teachers and potential applicants, fostering direct interaction.

The important issues of the Russian language teaching and studying will be explored by philologists, Russian language teachers, experts in teaching methods, and literary critics during the anniversary 15th Congress of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature ‘Russian language and literature in a changing world’.
